The perfect answer to brake cooling, for those who drive to the track!
Designed specifically for the BMW F8x platform, these cooling ducts fit the BMW M2, M3 and M4 cars, and replace the flimsy OE stone guard. They cover almost the entire face of the disc so protect it from debris and the weather, but still offer cooling but only towards the bell of the disc so the cooling vanes have a steady supply of air. Special care has been taken so that air is not blown directly onto the disc face! Designed to work equally well with stock discs, BTCC discs and other AP discs seen on GT3/4 brakes.
Fabricated from a mixture of 5251 and 6082 aluminium, the ducts are both strong and lightweight, and are designed to replace the flimsy OEM parts as a straight swap. The parts each feature a total of seven air flow openings, an increase from the four openings on the OEM component. The central opening features a 51mm hose connection, ready to accept 2inch ducting hose. The air from all seven openings would be directed only to the bell of the disc so that cooling air is directed only through the vanes of the rotor, this way no air is directed on to the face of the disc. The result makes them ideal as replacement/initial upgrade for fast road and track use as the stone guard feature is retained, and the guards can be used in all weathers without fear of damaging the discs.
No other parts are required to fit. Some modification to the brake shoe support ring during assembly, instructions are included in the package.
The SAX024 has been designed to be upgraded at a later date with the SAX025 kit, which includes the scoop for the lower arm and the required ducting and fasteners.
